WORKOUT NOTES

  • Athletes begin behind the designated start line.
  • At 3, 2, 1, GO, all three athletes start Round 1 with 6 Team Synchro Shuttle Runs of 10 m.
  • At each turn, all three athletes must make a three point touch behind the line. Both feet and one hand must be on the ground at the same time.
  • After the shuttle runs, the team moves to the target for 60 unbroken Ping Pong Wall Balls at 20/14 lb.
  • Every rep requires a full squat and throw to the designated target.
  • The ball may only be passed to a teammate through a full squat and throw. The receiving athlete catches it and completes a full squat and throw before passing it on.
  • Athletes may substitute at any time. No fixed rotation is required.
  • If the ball is dropped, the team starts again from the top of the wall balls. The count resets to 0 and they restart the full 60.
  • If the round ends before the 60 wall balls are complete, the team scores nothing for that round.
  • After 60 valid wall balls, two athletes complete Synchro Toes to Bar for max reps in the time left in the round.
  • The third athlete may substitute in at any time.
  • Only valid synchronised reps count.
  • At 4:00 and again at 8:00, a new round begins and the team restarts the sequence from the shuttle runs. Unfinished work does not carry over.
  • Time stops at 12:00.
  • SCALED OPTION: Toes to Target, with the target above waist height. A team using toes to target is scored as Scaled.
  • Every positive Rx’d score ranks above every Scaled score. An Rx’d score of 0 ranks below every Scaled score.
  • SCORE: Total valid synchronised toes to bar reps across all three rounds. Shuttle runs and wall balls do not earn points.
  • TIE BREAK: Record the time to complete the first set of Team Synchro Shuttle Runs in Round 1. Faster time ranks higher.

MOVEMENT STANDARDS

Requirements
  • All three athletes perform the shuttle runs together.
  • The team completes 6 × 10 m in every round.
  • At each turn, all three athletes must make a three point touch behind the designated line at the same time.
  • A three point touch means both feet and one hand are in contact with the ground behind the line.
  • All 6 × 10 m must be complete before the team starts the wall balls.
  • The sequence restarts with the shuttle runs at the start of every round.
Common No Reps
  • One or more athletes do not make the three point touch at a turn.
  • The three athletes do not touch down at the same time.
  • Both feet and one hand are not behind the designated line.
  • The team starts the wall balls before all 6 × 10 m are complete.
Tie break: The time to complete the first set of shuttle runs in Round 1 separates tied teams. Faster times rank higher.
Requirements
  • The team completes 60 unbroken wall balls at 20/14 lb.
  • Every valid repetition requires a full squat and throw to the designated wall ball target.
  • The ball may only be passed to a teammate through a full squat and throw.
  • The receiving athlete catches the ball and completes a full squat and throw before passing it on.
  • Athletes may substitute at any time, as long as the passing standard is maintained.
  • Any of the three athletes may take part. No fixed rotation is required.
  • The ball must not be dropped at any point during the set.
  • If the ball is dropped, the team starts again from the top. The count resets to 0 and they restart the full 60.
  • All 60 valid repetitions must be complete before the team advances to toes to bar.
  • If the round ends before the 60 are complete, the team scores nothing for that round. Toes to bar is the only scoring opportunity.
Common No Reps
  • The athlete does not reach a full squat.
  • The ball does not hit the designated target.
  • The ball is passed to a teammate without a full squat and throw.

  • Shuttle runs and wall balls do not earn points.
  • A team with no valid synchronised reps scores 0.
  • Every positive Rx'd score ranks above every Scaled score, regardless of rep count.
  • An Rx'd score of 0 ranks below every Scaled score.
  • Within each category, higher rep totals rank higher.
  • Tie break: Tied totals are separated by the time to complete the first set of team synchro shuttle runs in Round 1. Faster times rank higher.
Example: 1 Rx'd rep ranks above 100 Scaled reps. 0 Rx'd reps ranks below every Scaled score, including a Scaled score of 0.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Round Format
The workout is 12 minutes made up of three 4 minute rounds. Round 1 runs 0:00 to 4:00, Round 2 runs 4:00 to 8:00 and Round 3 runs 8:00 to 12:00. The rounds run back to back.
Yes. At the start of each round the team restarts with the shuttle runs, then the wall balls, then toes to bar.
It does not carry over. When the round changes, the team starts the next round from the shuttle runs. If the wall balls were not finished, the team scores nothing for that round.
It depends on the movement. All three athletes run the shuttles together. Any of the three may take part in the wall balls. On toes to bar, two athletes work together and the third may substitute at any time.
Team Synchro Shuttle Runs
Yes. All three athletes perform the shuttle runs together, 6 × 10 m in every round.

No. All 6 × 10 m must be complete before the team starts the wall balls.
Ping Pong Wall Balls
The ball moves between teammates through the throw. One athlete completes a full squat and throw to the target. The receiving athlete catches the ball, completes their own full squat and throw, then passes it on.
Every valid rep needs a full squat and throw to the designated wall ball target. The team needs 60 valid reps.
No. The ball may only be passed to another athlete through a full squat and throw. The receiving athlete must also complete a full squat and throw before passing it on.
Any of the three athletes may take part and there is no fixed rotation. Athletes may substitute at any time, as long as the passing standard is maintained.
The team starts again from the top. The wall ball count resets to 0 and they restart the full 60.

A team using toes to target is scored as Scaled. Count valid synchronised toes to target reps as the score.
Scoring and Tie Break
Your score is the total number of valid synchronised toes to bar reps across all three rounds.
A team with no valid synchronised reps scores 0. Shuttle runs and wall balls do not earn points.
Every positive Rx'd score ranks above every Scaled score, regardless of rep count. An Rx'd score of 0 ranks below every Scaled score. Within each category, higher rep totals rank higher.

The judging team participate in dedicated Judges Workshops prior to the competition to ensure consistency across all lanes and workouts.

Each workout will be overseen by designated Head Judges responsible for standard interpretation, judging consistency, and score verification.

Head Judges hold advanced CrossFit judging qualifications and have final authority on movement standards, no-rep calls, scoring interpretations, and competition-floor rulings during the event.

The goal of the judging team is to apply movement standards fairly, consistently, and equally to all athletes throughout the competition.

Rumble is built around the spirit of the CrossFit community. We encourage athletes to compete hard, support one another, and contribute to a positive competition atmosphere.

Athletes, judges, volunteers, staff, and spectators are expected to treat one another with respect at all times.

Celebrate great performances, encourage fellow competitors, and remember that everyone involved is working together to create a fun and memorable event.

Unsportsmanlike behaviour, abusive language, harassment, or disrespect toward judges, volunteers, athletes, or event staff will not be tolerated and may result in penalties or disqualification at the discretion of the Competition Director.

Most importantly, have fun, represent your gym well, and enjoy the experience.

Athlete safety is the highest priority.

The organisers reserve the right to stop an athlete from continuing if judges, medical personnel, or event staff believe continuing would pose a risk to the athlete or others.

Athletes participate at their own risk.

Prizes and awards will be presented following completion of the final event and verification of all scores.

Prize structures may be adjusted at the organisers’ discretion based on final participation numbers and sponsorship commitments.
